Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city
Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, speaking with youth, families and news european union educators via street information stands and event-based activities. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to present clear information on drug risks, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. Details were published in a published overview.
According to organisers, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European institutions and the United Nations, said: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
